Yarrrrr thar be demons!

Better Angels by Arc Dream Publishing is a Role Playing Game using the one roll engine.  I've listened to some actual plays using this system, and thought of a setting that would be interesting to play around in.  We join Celesta, Travis, and Trista as Elsa, Rupert, and Thursday during the 1700's in the Caribbean.  An unfortunate twist of fate brings about an unexpected change in their lives.  Now burdened with supernatural powers they set about trying to understand why they were cursed with the demon's touch.  This is the first episode and first session for playing Better Angels, so we will and do get things wrong.  We do not know nautical terms, so there's that.  Also, first session with the rules so we do get some of the rules wrong which are corrected in the next session.

Oh the humanity!

Cards against Humanity...oh jeez.  This game...wow this game is a party game for your friends who know you at your best.  When Trista was in town we played a lot of games, and there were good times to be had.  This was one of the games we played.  Cards against Humanity is a 3-multiple individuals card game along the line of Apples to Apples.  A player starts by drawing a black card which has a phrase that usually has a fill in the blank spot.  The other players look at their hand of seven cards and figure out which one of their cards is the "best" ...by best I mean usually awfully terrible.  Sit down with us as we play Cards against Humanity!  Forewarning for listeners, this goes raunchy.

Exploding Kittens the NSFW version!

Since we are taking a break in the Mouse Guard saga we figured we would fill in our weekly Monday release with something else.  Trista came to town a few weeks ago, and she brought with her the card game Exploding Kittens the NSFW version!  We haven't had a chance to play this yet so we sat down and gave it a try.  Exploding kittens is a card game for 2-5 players, created by Elan Lee, Matthew Inman, and Shane Small.  Each player is given a starting hand of 4 cards with one of them being a defuse card.  Each player then takes a turn by playing a card or cards then ending their turn with drawing a card.  The object of the game is to not draw the exploding kitten.  You can counteract this with the defuse card, but if you don't have one and you draw the exploding kitten you're dead and out of the game.  Sit down and listen as Trista, Tyler, Travis, and Celesta play this all together fun game.
